Establishment of small scale native chicken poultry units

Objective:  

• To encourage Native Chicken rearing and to improve rural income

Project Area: 

• All Districts of Tamil Nadu except Chennai and Nilgris

Project Strategy:

• 50 % subsidy for the total cost required for construction of poultry shed,
  purchase of equipments, and feed cost for 4 months i.e., upto grower stage
  will be given to beneficiary as a back ended subsidy.

Eligibility:

• Individual who can establish 250 native chicken farm in 625 sq.ft land and should be
  able to contribute 50% of total project cost
•  Permanent resident of that village.
• New Beneficiary for this scheme
•  Priority will be given to widows, destitute persons, transgenders, and differently-abled
  persons.
